Shelly is a lead singer/guitarist, songwriter, and sought-after vocal coach based in New York City.

Shelly has been performing for events and music venues throughout the tri-state NYC area for over 10 years.  She performs solo, duo, or full band.  Some of Shelly’s recent bands include The Shelly Wade Band, Shelly Wade & The So-N-So’s, The 718’s (60’s/70’s Rock), and The Dime Store Romeos (Old Time Country). 

Shelly holds a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from Manhattan School of Music, which ranks in the top 10 most prestigious conservatories in the world.  She studied voice with famed voice teachers such as Arthur Levy (Metropolitan Opera), Clarity James (New York City Opera) and Cynthia Hoffman (Julliard). 

As an accomplished opera singer up until 2010, Shelly has performed roles such as “Cherubino” in Le Nozze di Figaro, Little Boy in “Griffelkin”, and “Jenny Hildebrand” in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene in New York City.

Shelly is a songwriter for Endo Music Inc., whose clients include CBS, Nickelodeon, TLC, and many more. Her voice can be heard in the ending credits theme song on the hit Nickelodeon show, LOUD HOUSE

As a volunteer songwriter for ‘Songs of Love, Inc.’, Shelly has also written and produced over 20 personalized songs for children in-need.

Shelly operates a Young Artist Program, Bleecker Street Rock Academy where she gives young musicians across the world opportunities to write and record original songs. She has co-written songs with hundreds of children in countries including India, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and USA. 

Shelly has also provided choral and music programs for esteemed NYC organizations such as The Metropolitan Opera Guild, The Town Hall NYC, Children’s Aid Society, Manhattan School of Music, and the infamous Marble Collegiate Church.

She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education (K-12 Certified, NY) and has been teaching privately for over fifteen years.

As a top vocal coach in NYC for young artists, Shelly’s students have gone on to sign major record deals with Sony and have leading roles in commercials for Disney, T-Mobile, and several other major networks.  She works with artists of all levels, from professional to teens, for high school to broadway auditions.
